Choosing the right rental LED display involves more than selecting a pixel pitch. Below are answers to the questions we receive most often from rental companies, AV integrators, event production teams, and LED display distributors worldwide.
The price is primarily based on four factors:
Contact us for a detailed, itemized quote with no hidden fees.
A high refresh rate is critical for any event that will be filmed. It ensures that when a camera (from a professional broadcaster or even a guest’s smartphone) records the screen, the image is perfectly smooth and free of the black horizontal lines (“scan lines”) or flickering that can occur with lower-quality screens.
An IP (Ingress Protection) rating measures how well a device is protected against solids (dust) and liquids (water). An IP65 rating is the industry standard for ensuring an outdoor LED screen is fully protected from the elements.
If your event will be filmed, live-streamed, or even just photographed for social media, you need a high refresh rental led screen. A high refresh rate (≥3840Hz) is what makes a screen camera ready. It ensures that any video or photo taken of the screen is perfectly smooth and free of the ugly black lines (“scan lines”) or flickering that can ruin a recording and make your event look unprofessional.
As a direct LED display factory, When expanding a rental LED display inventory, color consistency can become challenging because LED brightness and color characteristics may vary between production batches. Even when the pixel pitch, cabinet size, and product model remain the same, modules produced at different times may use LEDs from different brightness or wavelength bins.
To reduce this risk, Lednexa recommends ordering approximately 5% spare LED modules with every initial order. These spare modules are produced and calibrated together with the main order, helping maintain more consistent brightness, color temperature, and visual performance when modules need to be replaced later.
We also retain important product configuration records, including the LED specification, module design, receiving-card configuration, cabinet structure, and other key production information. When you plan to expand your rental inventory, our team can review the original order records and evaluate whether the new cabinets or modules can be matched with your existing equipment.
However, because LED components naturally vary between manufacturing batches and age gradually during use, perfect visual matching cannot always be guaranteed for equipment purchased years apart. For major fleet expansions, we may recommend calibration, batch grouping, or using new cabinets as a separate screen system rather than mixing them randomly with older inventory.
Planning spare modules from the first order is therefore one of the most practical ways to reduce future maintenance risks, avoid visible color differences, and protect the long-term usability of your rental LED display inventory.
Our standard packages are turn-key. They include the required LED panels, the video processor and control system (like Novastar), all necessary power and data cables, and the rigging/ground support structure. We ensure you have everything needed to go live.
Selecting the right rental LED display involves much more than comparing prices. A well-informed purchasing decision should consider the complete lifecycle of the product, from transportation and installation to maintenance and long-term operation.
Before making a purchase, we recommend evaluating the following key factors:
At Lednexa, our sales and engineering teams work closely with every customer to understand project requirements before recommending a solution. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all product, we focus on providing the most suitable rental LED display based on your application, budget, and long-term business goals.
Absolutely. Our rental series (like the R-IN and R-OUT) are designed so that 500x500mm and 500x1000mm cabinets from the same series are fully compatible and interlock seamlessly. This gives you maximum design flexibility to create custom sizes and shapes.
Power requirements vary significantly. As part of our quoting process, our technical team will provide you with a detailed power specification sheet (a “power plot”) that outlines the exact amperage and number of circuits required. You can provide this directly to the venue or power generator supplier for your event.
This is a key part of our manufacturer advantage. All panels in our rental inventory are from carefully managed production batches. When you rent a large screen from us, we guarantee every single panel is from the same batch, ensuring perfect color and brightness uniformity across the entire display.
Yes. Many of our rental series, including the popular p3.91 rental led display, come with optional curving blocks that allow for both concave and convex curves (typically in 5 or 10-degree increments). We also offer specialized 90-degree corner modules for creating seamless cubes and L-shapes.
Yes, we do. We view other AV and production companies as our partners. We offer competitive cross-rental rates to supplement your inventory for large events, as well as wholesale pricing for companies looking to purchase our tour-ready panels to build their own rental fleet. Contact our team to discuss a partnership.
There is no single “best” pixel pitch for every project because the ideal choice depends on viewing distance, screen size, content quality, and budget.
As a general recommendation:
Our specialists can help you calculate the perfect pitch for your venue. To get a precise recommendation, use our interactive guide. Simply input your estimated viewing distance, and our tool will suggest the optimal pixel pitch for your venue. Use Our Pixel Pitch Calculator.
Choosing between an indoor and an outdoor rental LED display depends on where the screen will be used, the expected viewing distance, and the environmental conditions.
Indoor rental LED displays are designed for exhibitions, conferences, churches, TV studios, and corporate events where high resolution and close viewing distances are the priority. These products generally offer finer pixel pitches, lighter cabinet designs, and optimized image quality for controlled indoor environments.
Outdoor rental LED displays, on the other hand, are engineered to withstand rain, dust, sunlight, and changing weather conditions. They provide significantly higher brightness levels, robust cabinet structures, and weather-resistant protection, making them ideal for concerts, festivals, sporting events, and outdoor advertising.
If your projects include both indoor and outdoor applications, our engineering team can help you select the most suitable product series based on your operational needs, project locations, and long-term investment goals.
A rental LED display is a long-term investment, and its service life depends on several factors, including product quality, operating environment, transportation frequency, maintenance practices, and daily usage.
Under normal operating conditions and with proper maintenance, a high-quality rental LED display can typically deliver 80,000 to 100,000 hours of reliable performance. However, the actual lifespan is influenced not only by the LED modules but also by the cabinet structure, power supplies, receiving cards, connectors, and the overall quality of manufacturing.
Because rental LED displays are frequently assembled, dismantled, transported, and reused, mechanical durability is just as important as display performance. Strong cabinet construction, reliable locking mechanisms, corner protection, and high-quality electronic components all contribute to extending the service life of the system.
At Lednexa, every rental LED display is manufactured using carefully selected components and undergoes comprehensive quality inspections, brightness calibration, and aging tests before shipment. We also provide spare parts and long-term technical support to help customers maximize the return on their investment and keep their rental inventory operating efficiently for years.
Whether you’re purchasing your first rental LED display system or expanding an existing rental inventory, Lednexa is ready to support your business with reliable products, flexible manufacturing, and responsive technical assistance.
